This is Josephine, Robert and Ingela's precious 6 year old daughter who, incidentally, speaks wonderful English. Robert and Ingela have another daughter, Elvira, who, at 3 years old, was a bit more bashful and elusive when the camera came out.
And, of course, the family dog--whose name we won't even attempt to spell. But he was a thoroughly pleasant, well-behaved, and great looking Bernese-Oberland Sheepdog who quietly slept on the floor of our room each night. We miss him already.
The old city of Stockhom.
This is the Blue Hall of the City Hall. It is here where each year the banquet dinner is held each year for the recipients of the Nobel Prizes. After dinner, they ascend the steps to the right to a large banquet hall upstairs--beautifully adorned with mosaics-- for dancing and more merriment. All of the Nobel Prizes--for peace, literature, physics, chemistry, medicine and economics--are awarded in Stockholm, except for the Nobel Peace Prize, which is awarded in Oslo, Norway. Each Nobel Prize winner is allowed to invite 20 guests to this grand and festive occasion.
The old Town of Stockholm is wonderfully charming and picturesque, with its narrow alleys, colorful, gabled homes, and street lanterns everywhere. It was a great place to wander around and get lost.
But away from the Old Town, you have a bustling, vibrant Stockholm, that bristles with energy. So much so, that we decided we could live here--it really is a fabulous city.

A large light sculpture anchors one of downtown's central squares.
